No sausage...no love

Just a lot of fuckin rain.

20 MPH SE wind 40 degrees and light rain = 12.8 MPH and a pissy pissy rider

Thank you to MBV for helping me survive this crappy day

Two-fer gentle hill climb

So i'm realizing now that Map My Ride is great for thinking about and communicating routes but really bad at estimating altitude differences.

We had a fantastic twofer this weekend based around some sound principles:

1) Wake n Bike
2) eat light, but eat at good intervals
3) warm up before climbing
4) ride easy, the hills will make it hard when you hit em.

FANTASTIC results:

Saturday's Route

Beautiful and easy till that one hill

Sunday's Route

Check out the elevation profile on this one...looks gentle...the hill on bluff is constant and serious

Pretty Clear that my emotional Stop-point was July Last year

I'm back. Just finished the clean-up following the second serious outdoor ride of the season, first fun ride of the year. 20 miles. Legs felt good lungs felt bad. Thats a bit worry some but better than the other way round.

So much shit still on the road here, but fantastic weather. Flatted slowly at 18mile and decided to ride it in (patching as we speak. Saw a few others out biking ALL of them dressed as though it were 10 degrees. Proof IMHO that they didn't bike when it was 10 degrees.

K thought I was slow today, but the #s don't lie 20.36 MPH this bodes well.

Song of the day: Silversun Pickups: Well Thought Out Twinkles retro 90s but solid. Good voice.
